Support activities

1. Geant4 Releases and reference tags
   • User support for installation and configuration, including support for the 'configure' script (BM, GC)
     
   • Release management (GC)
   • release preparation, ie. leak checking, source code checks, etc. (GC, GF)
     
   • Building of binary releases (GF)
2. Support of G4 tools, services, and servers
   • continue to improve internal documentation for tools (GF)
   • support for svn within collaboration
   • support for bugzilla problem tracking tool (KM)
   • support for hypernews (DW)
   • support for Coverity static analysis (GC)
     

Developments

1. Improve configuration and installation tools
• Review need and use of mandatory environment variables (GC)
• completion of support for missing visualization drivers (BM)
  
• integration in system testing (GF)
  
• Using cmake, provide distributions packaged with system tools, starting with rpm distribution (BM, ?)
2. Reorganization of external packages, like expat, zlib, gl2ps, etc.
   
3. Adapt release checking tools to svn (disclaimer, checking std::"math") (GF)
4. Study / set up of new requirements tracking tool (KM)
