Part 2 - by the new SB membership

1. Regular items

  • The open requirements, pending actions, status of long open bug reports, as well as physics and computing performance monitoring were reviewed
  • Computing performance:
    • ~2% improvement in ref-02 might be connected with the Urban multiple-scattering model modifications
      • It may reduce number of steps of e- and/or indicate systematic uncertainty of CPU measurements due to change of simulation history
    • The other candidate contributing to the boost are also improvements implemented in G4Track introduced in ref-02

2. 2020 work plan

  • The 2020 work plans have been reported by each working group and reviewed. Work plans are published on the web in the various Working Groups pages. Collaboration-wide development items will be summarized and posted on the web soon
  • The next Technical Forum (to be scheduled soon) will include discussions on the proposed work plan

3. Spokesperson election

  • Forming the Candidate Nomination Team (CNT)
    • Three volunteers : Makoto Asai (chair), Ben Morgan, Luciano Pandola
    • CNT membership was approved
  • ​Election time table is agreed.
    • Nomination phase : 2-3 weeks
    • Nominee(s) endorsement by SB : 1 week
    • Election phase : 2-3 weeks
  • CNT will announce the election procedure to the Collaboration
