1. Regular items

  • The open requirements, pending actions, status of long open bug reports, as well as physics and computing performance monitoring are reviewed.
  • Publication will be reviewed at every Steering Board meeting starting from the next meeting.

2. 2019 release

  • Major release or minor release ?
    • At this point, no items in the work plan would justify a major release.
    • The refactoring of the libraries is on-going and is a big task, but it should be transparent to user.
    • Unless some critical issue is identified, we’ll go for “10.6”.
  • Planned release date - December 6th
  • Beta-release schedule:
    • Target date - June 28th
    • Tag deadline : May 31st
    • System testing : June 14th
  • 10.5-patch01 release
    • The procedure for submitting Merge Requests (MR) to the patch branch is well established and is similar to the one used for the Master.
    • It is recommended that the Category Coordinator is involved in the creation of a MR for a patch:
      • The MR is being kept open until the time the patch will be tested.
      • Therefore this MR can be reused for adding fixes, if necessary, without having to create a new MR for them.

3. Git migration

  • Merge request inspection by category coordinator will be activated shortly.
  • Please make use of the “Bug” label for a Merge Request to mark fixes that should be back-ported to previous release(s).

5. 2019 Collaboration meeting
